To ensure the success of the project, FilliGRAIN-PROTECT brings together a multidisciplinary team of plant biologists, biochemists, and breeders from three prominent research groups at ITQB and INIAV in Portugal. The team’s collective expertise encompasses metabolic regulation, plant stress physiology, protein-protein interactions, phosphoproteomics, gene regulation, and rice field trials. The project also benefits from the guidance of external advisers, Dra. Maria Coca from CRAG in Barcelona, a renowned CDPK expert, and Dr. Lourenço Palha, the head of COTArroz, who facilitates the project’s connection with the rice sector.
